Built by Brothers. Backed for Life.
From one generation to the next — carrying forward what we built together.

We joined Pi Kappa Alpha as young men — at the beginning of everything.
We stood shoulder to shoulder for the Ritual. We built friendships that outlasted distance, careers, and time.
We’ve celebrated weddings.
Raised families.
Built lives, careers, legacies.
And through it all —
FORTIS FIDELIS
Strong and faithful
Brave and loyal
Now, it’s time to pay it forward.

LEGACY LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

Dan Hendrix ‘75
Chairman, Legacy Leadership Council
Dan’s meteoric rise began in 1983 when he joined Interface, Inc. By 1989, Dan Hendrix was identified as the youngest CEO of a Fortune 500 company. He became Chairman, President and CEO (Ret.) of the $1 billion global manufacturer of commercial flooring. He was inducted into the Florida State University College of Business Hall of Fame in 2018. Dan is a Legacy Dad. His son is John Hendrix ’05, and wife Betsy was Pike Dream Girl and the Pikes Illustrated Cover girl in 1976.

Pat Madden ‘03
Co-Chairman, Legacy Leadership Council
Pat Madden is Founder and CEO of Deus X Defense, a security company designed to “close the execution gap between the technology that exists and the security postures that actually hold.” As a Marine Corps officer, Pat led combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was Strategic Advisor at McKinsey & Company, and former Senior Vice president and GM at Axon “where he scaled mission-critical public safety technologies globally, and led expansion into drone and robotics platforms.” He earned his BS degree from FSU in 2006, and completed Marine Officers Candidate School while a Pike undergraduate.

Jesse Vance ‘80
Co-Chairman, Legacy Leadership Council
Jesse played two years of football for FSU until sidelined with a severe neck injury. Never one to let even spinal damage slow him down, Jesse joined the Army and earned his jump wings as a paratrooper with the elite 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg. After years of being away, Jesse pledged Pike as an Army Veteran. Here, he developed his lifelong love for the Fraternity. “The common bond of Brotherhood, Leadership and Character led me and my sons to become Pikes for Life.” One second floor wing of the mansion is designated as “Vance Scholarship House” in recognition of Jesse’s substantial contribution in the 2001-2004 Campaign. Beyond his generous financial support, he has gifted three sons to Delta Lambda: Josh Vance ’04, Jake Vance ’08 and past SMC Joe Vance ’11. Jesse is the epitome of the loyal Delta Lambda Legacy Dad. Jesse founded, owned and directed NAOS (National Online Staffing) from 1994-2024. He was honored to be inducted into the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice Hall of Fame in 2014. He also served on the Seminole Boosters, Inc. Board of Directors.

Brent Sembler ‘78
Legends, Inc. Chairman Emeritus
Brent is Vice Chairman and Principal of the Sembler Company, a multi-generational, private development corporation with nearly 400 projects throughout the Southeastern United States and Puerto Rico. Brent is a renowned philanthropist and a national political fundraising leader for the Republican Party. Appointed by Governor Charlie Crist ‘76, Brent served for ten years on the Florida State University Board of Trustees (2010-2020). Brent is affectionately known as Delta Lambda’s “Godfather” and that affection is well-earned. Upon Delta Lambda’s return to FSU in 2000, Brent accepted the challenge of building a fraternity house that would re-claim and manifest the proud tradition of Pike at Florida State. He served as National Chairman of the Legends of Delta Lambda Capital Campaign, raising $4 million to build the nation’s largest fraternity house under one roof. For twenty years, Brent has overseen all financial and up-keep operations concerning the house. His son Logan Sembler ’09 is a Delta Lambda, and his brother Greg Sembler ‘80 was initiated at the University of Pennsylvania.

Rudy Rowe ‘87
Chairman, Legends, Inc.
A fifth-generation Tallahassean, Rudy Rowe has been active in the construction industry throughout the southeast for nearly 40 years. He founded Southland Contracting in 1991, and Southland Rowe Roofing in 2004. As the new Chairman of Legends, Inc. Rudy remains awed by the contributions of outgoing Chairman Brent Sembler. ““We can’t celebrate him enough for providing us this house. Brent volunteered to be Chairman of the largest fraternity capital campaign in FSU history at that time. He has continued to sacrifice so much over the last 23 years.” Rudy’s vision for the Chapter is ambitious, and adheres to the best Delta Lambda traditions. “I’d like us to maintain the same relative standing on campus that we had when I was a pledge. I want Delta Lambda to be able to look in the rear-view mirror, and we don’t see anyone.” Rudy is a proud Legacy Dad several times over. When Rudy stood facing his son Carson Rowe ‘22 during Initiation, he said, “It was amazing, electric. To be there with Carson, and to participate in my son’s ceremony, meant more to me than my own initiation.” Following Carson, second son Gavin Rowe ’24 was initiated last year. Third son Ashton will be an entering freshman this fall.

Andy Miller ‘70
Andy led Seminole Boosters, Inc. as its President for 45 years. His vision led to the creation of College Town, as well as transformational new and improved facilities in all sports. His insistence on including elements of FSU’s traditional Gothic Collegiate architecture in all new facilities was adopted throughout the University. Andy was inducted into the Florida State University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2011. The most capacious meeting room in University Center is named for him. He received Pi Kappa Alpha’s 2015 Distinguished Achievement Award for his national reputation in collegiate athletics. Andy is a past SMC, and served as President of the House Corporation during the 1970s and 1980s. Andy also served as Building Chairman of the first Legends of Delta Lambda Campaign 2001-2004. His Delta Lambda relatives include his brother Bill Miller ’74, his son Matt Miller ‘09 and his brother-in law Bobby Jones ’72.

He is also the founder of Domini International, a commodity trading company. Mickey is a proud Legacy Dad; his son is Michael Fernandez ‘10

Doug Russell is President and CEO of Russell & Associates, a governmental lobbying firm specializing in Florida’s health care delivery systems. Doug served two terms as National Chairman of Seminole Boosters, Inc (2017, 2018), and also served as a Trustee of the Biletnikoff Award. He is a past SMC who has devoted much of his personal energies to the advancement of Delta Lambda. The Doug Russell Legends Room reflects his financial and fundraising contributions to the first Campaign (2001-2004). He is the Founding President of the Delta Lambda Alumni Association, serves on the Board of the Old Guard of Delta Lambda, is the current co-Rush Advisor, and is the Founder and Chairman of the Delta Lambda Legacy Dads program, an initiative designed to fortify the Fraternity by strengthening the Bonds between Pike fathers and Pike sons. Ken Marks’ zeal for Delta Lambda has not lessened since his initiation 46 years ago. He owns the distinction of being the first IM Chairman to bring the Overall Intramural Championship back to the Pike house in 1981. Ken also served as Delta Lambda’s Vice President. As Chairman of the Bay Area, Ken was one of Brent Sembler’s most productive lieutenants during the 2001-2004 Legends Campaign. The O. Ken Marks Foyer in the mansion was named in recognition of his generosity. Ken Marks spent his entire professional life in the automobile business from Tallahassee through the Clearwater area, where he is also deeply involved in local civic life including local Bank boards, and Tunnel-to-Towers homes for military, police and fire-fighters. He is President of Ken Marks Coast Buick, GMC Cadillac Mazda. TIME Magazine and Ally Financial named him Dealer of the Year in Florida in 2019 and 2020. Ken is a proud Legacy Dad. His son Joshua Marks ’17 was initiated at the University of South Florida. Ken’s brother Michael Marks ’87 is a Delta Lambda.

Lt. Col. Joe “Hooter” Feheley ‘81
Easily one of the most colorful and boisterous characters in Delta Lambda lore, Legacy Dad Joe Feheley (son, Sean Feheley ’14) is Chairman-Elect of Legends, Inc. and will follow Rudy Rowe. Joe served a term as Delta Lambda Chapter Advisor, and remains an influential member of the Chapter Advisory Board. He is a loyal and generous Seminole Booster; he and wife Olga are members of the Bowden Society. Joe earned a Finance degree and an MBA, and is a licensed contractor. But working in stock brokerage bored him, so he spent 33 years flying A-10s and F-16s in every war and combat zone since 1991, from Desert Storm to Afghanistan. Still running from boredom, Joe flew Romanian jets for the Ukrainians, but that is a story probably best left for another venue (one with a liquor license, and security clearance).

Greg Lowder ‘77
Greg Lowder is Managing Partner at Agility Wealth Management in Jacksonville. He began his financial services career more than 30 years ago at Prudential Securities. In Chapter days, Greg was a Seminole varsity Cheerleader three years, and played Soccer for FSU for four years.
